Biography
John's Story
Hailing from Nottingham UK, John's interest in music started with the piano accordion and whistle at age 7 due to the influence of his Irish heritage. He has over the past 30 years added a collection of instruments to his arsenal and toured around the world as a multi-instrumentalist.
His music career began in metal and punk bands in his teens. After a couple of years playing jazz guitar with the late Steve Pinnock, his love of folk music returned when he joined Nottingham band Seven Little Sisters in the early 90's.
Since then he has recorded/toured & collaborated with many bands including The Newcranes, Kelly's Heroes, Skyclad, Ferocious Dog and Levellers - playing gigs and major festivals worldwide. He currently tours with Somerset UK based singer-songwriter Nick Parker in his band The False Alarms.
John is both a Deering Banjos and Eastman Guitars artist. He plays Uilleann Pipes by Andy Faden, whistles by Fred Rose and is available for studio and live work. Special thanks to everyone at Eagle Music in Huddersfield UK for their continued support over the years.
